Doghouse

Children peek out of doghouse as Grandma and dog look on
When a doghouse is all you need.

With so many new followers, it’s time for introductions. I’m Cheryl, the one behind my camera—and a girl who believes that through his natural world and his Word, God speaks love to every one of us. Each day I share a glimpse of our conversations.

I’m a PNW native, writer, teacher and naturalist. A former columnist for Women-of-Faith, I’ve authored two books of non-fiction: The View from Goose Ridge (Thomas Nelson, 2001) and Children At Promise (Jossey-Bass, 2003—with Dr. Tim Stuart). And I am oh, so close to pushing SEND on my first novel, a layered coming-of-age piece set in Washington State’s farmland and wilderness.

Best of all, I’ve shared life with my veterinarian husband on our small farm, where we raised two kids (now flown to new states) and four grands, who have returned me to childhood and have split my heart wide open.

Here are two of them.
