Under Cover of Darkness

Under cover of darkness, a cougar left this print in a fresh molehill.

In our lower field.

Inside the fence.

Along the creek.

Almost five inches across, it dwarfed our pursuing dogs’ tracks.

Neighbors to the north have seen him. My husband and a neighbor to the east have smelled him.

I expect he’ll be back.
